"Love Revolution" - All Mighty Whispers
Another song with a vibe at once friendly and polished, this one wrapping itself in an ineffable sort of groovy-'60s wash: the effortless melody, the bassline hook, the head-bobbingly agreeable beat (complete with real drums), and the busy but unidentifiable background fill combine to ooze an unbearable nostalgia for a past that never quite existed. On top of it all comes singer Peter Hill's voice, a pleasantly reedy instrument given a wonderful double-tracked substance that helps make "Love Revolution" sound both as light as air and as solid as a big comfy chair. I can't always identify a producer's impact--and often his or her job is to sound like no one was producing it at all--but in this case I tip my metaphorical hat in the direction of Grzegorz Czachor, the Polish producer enlisted to create this spiffy piece of expert pop, and to the Norwich (U.K.) trio behind the music for enlisting him. "Love Revolution" is the title track of the band's self-titled debut CD, released in Februrary..

All Mighty Whispers – Thanks
This band comes to us from across the ocean out of Tuba Studio in London. They have been getting airplay with their recent release on BBC radio2, Japan’s Yellow Beat radio and making the circuits through the typical avenues for unsigned Indie bands.
It is unfortunate in some respects that the show is only 30 minutes because I usually have to decide to play one song out of many for each band. In the case of the Whispers I initially chose 6 songs from their release titled “Love Revolution”. From there, many listens later I decided on “Thanks”. This song worked well with the lineup of today’s show and demonstrates the strong vocal and acoustic quality that I feel defines the band.

All Mighty Whispers -This sounds good... molotov recommended this band and mentionned Air, Trembling Blue Stars and Mercury Rev as soundalikes. Yeah, I can agree with that; good stuff!

I’m rather impressed with All Mighty Whispers - not just because they’re doing the digital DIY thing with a fair degree of panache (MySpace - check; Podsafe - check; free downloads on their site -and a player for the whole album - check; a site that you don’t need Flash for - check). But the album, Love Revolution is really rather good.
A Plague of Angels – Podcast
All Mighty Whispers are a Franco-Anglo trio (working with a Polish producer) whose cool, elegant sound evokes comparisons to Air, Trembling Blue Stars, and Mercury Rev. Fortunately for us, they write actual "songs," as opposed to artsy-fartsy "soundscapes" that just drift listlessly hither, thither, and yon.

If you enjoy discovering unique bands with their own distinctive style you’ll love this C.D. Bought on the recommendation of a friend, I was blown away by the dreamlike quality of these tracks; each one melts seductively into the next. All held together by great musicianship, the piano on a couple of tracks being especially memorable. I really liked the vocals –great but still authentic sounding – not ‘produced’ until they lose all character.
Altogether a great find.
The band were featured in the March edition of Unsigned.
“With a name like All Mighty they better be good, right? Well that's no problem for this band from the U.K. All Mighty Whispers have a song writing formula that works!”
