The band began as a collaboration between French musician Alick Letort and English singer/lyricist Peter Hill.
The first demos recorded under the name “EX” were duly dispatched. The sound blended leftfield indie rock and heavy dub bass. The lead track “Iceman Chill” caught the attention of Janice Long who played it regularly on her radio show.
The music industry began to take notice, deals were offered and there were further plays on BBC Radio 5 and XFM .
However Alick and Peter were already looking to move on
2005
Alick and Peter were determined to develop their sound and the opportunity arose to work with renowned Polish producer Grzegorz Czachor. It prompted a move towards a more live approach incorporating a natural though still contemporary feel.
Steve Necchi was recruited on drums, guitars and vocals to complement the new direction and provide further songwriting talent.
Recording started in the Spring of 2005 in a London Studio. A variety of instrumentalists contributed to the songs and over a period of 2 months, 14 songs were recorded for inclusion on the first All Mighty Whispers album
A promotional EP featuring 3 songs from the album was dispatched and within a week the title track “Love Revolution” was played on BBC Radio 2’s Marc Radcliffe show. Songs from the EP have also been played on Sky digital Radio and on a multitude of Internet Radios
