STEVE NECCHI
Steve has Italian blood as suggested by his surname and proven by his love of a good bottle of Chianti with dinner. Steve’s drumming style however is of a classic English tradition that has its roots in the 60’s beat pop sound that still influences him today. We have also utilised Steve’s conga and percussion playing within our sound and, because he can also play guitar, Steve contributes songs for the All Mighty Whispers cannon. Steve is also responsible for much of the vocal harmony work that characterises the warmer parts of the All Mighty Whispers sound, and much of the buffoonery when things start to get a little too serious in the studio.
PETER HILL
Peter is from North London and was a football fan and Chelsea supporter from a young age. Peter left school to go to Art College and has a degree in Fine Art which he studied for at Loughborough. While at Art School Peter joined his first band and realised that this was the medium in which he wanted to express himself. Peter co-writes and provides lead vocals for All Mighty Whispers. His lyrical style has a strong sense of narrative and moves fluidly between moments of unsettling darkness and lighter, warmer themes. Peter enjoys black and white movies, particularly in the ‘Noir’ genre and is captivated by writers of rich language and powerful imagery such as Orson Welles, Nick Cave and Jimmy McGovern.
Peter’s wife, Julie, provides guest vocals on some of All Mighty Whispers songs.
